Kenny Rankin, Singer, guitarist, songwriter. Wonderful voice. Early 70's I saw him at a jr. college in south central California--he was the lead act for, believe it or not, George Carlin. I was mesmerized by Kenny's songs, but the rest of the crowd, it seemed, was anxious for George to start his act. Kenny sensed that was the case and, at the end of his set he (a bit sarcastically) thanked the crowd for their patience. It was unfortunate so many missed hearing some real magic that night.
