Syquest declared Bankruptcy and shuttered the doors last October or so. They re-opened recently (very limited) and Iomega has bought certain assets. As to what kind of business Syquest will be doing and if they will support their old products like SparQ and Syjet remains to be seen. Basically, everything is still sort of up in the air.

But I wouldn't count on seeing anymore SparQ disks. It's my bet that Syquest will re-open as just a brand name slapped on another manufacturer's CD-R/W or DVD-RAM drive and disks.

Dan,

You may see Iomega branded SparQ disks in the near future.
