woody, or woodman, is a very successful daytrader who can be found in the irc channel #daytraders. i think he's also in #bastages. he's as good as any i've seen with L2 for calling tops and bottoms. he knows when to take a profit, and usually doesn't hang around too long. lots of people watch him, and i'm sure, attempt to mimic his every move. that, of course, is where the trouble often begins.

Gary,

Congrats on surfing the big waves on DELL Friday! Woodman is a trader I know from mIRC. A young guy who is probably one of the best daytraders around, not an MM. I did notice Lehman on the bid on DELL, and yes, I think a lot of traders got killed in DELL on Friday. I believe DELL will bottom around 85 in violent trading in the next couple of days and then fly back up to the 90 support level for awhile.

Glad you are tuning in to L2. I see a lot of traders on SI using Datek and Schwab etc and say they don't need L2. Okay, says I. I don't feel I have any clue what is happening in a stock till I watch the L2 for a while.

Hey, where do I go to download MP3? Might as well get some mileage out of my ADSL.

Do you still have lagging quotes on your T1 at times? I am determined to get continuous streaming quotes with no shutdowns, even if it means moving to NY and becoming an MM!

BTW, nice going shorting DELL. You've got guts. Somebody else on this thread shorted it at 92. Very courageous IMHO.

Rick
