I will share an observation that I sometimes wonder if its only imagination, or it really occurs.

The first time a share price bounce occurs, it is caused by large buyers. For amzn that was the bounce of 1/19/99.

Observant speculators saw it bouncing from 95 and so next time it got there 2/10/99 they anticipated them thinking that 95 is support.
Of course the larger blocks were not buying. Volume was low, so the bounce was not high.

It has been my observation that the third time usually does not hold.
Either the stock will not get that low, or if it does, it will keep going down to a lower level that will bring in large buyers.
