I wish I had bought DELL @ $2 :(

I'm not going to try to keep up with this thread, suffice to say I hold DELL.

DELL is a hold and add on weakness stock for me. It is a very well managed company and Michael Dell know's the in's and out's of Wall St.

It's unfortunate that 'analysts' have so much influence. I heard comments on CNBC on Friday that DELL is much harder to assess now as it's not just a direct sale PC manufacturer anymore and that its business base has expanded. CNBC also reported that there was not a uniform consensus among analysts with respect to DELL's upcoming earning's report on Tuesday.

I was following AMZN recently and both Meeker and Blodget seem to change their recommendations every five minutes - as did BankBoston. They went from a sell recommendation to a buy just a couple of days before AMZN reported recently.

I can understand why many funds now have their own 'in house' analysts and they don't rely solely on outside analysts that much anymore. Any wonder?

Let's see what Tuesday brings.

David.

Dear Mr. 5er:

Please don't spew this kind of crap:

dailynews.yahoo.com

on the day DELL releases earnings. You don't see DELL do the same on the day you have center stage, why do you? Besides, didn't you pull this kind of crap last Q?
