Just asked my wife what card she was using that gives points for AOL service and she said "it's the AOL Platinum Visa Card, duh!". She said you get 1 pt per $ spent and it takes 2200 pts. for a free month. She reminded me that she put her new Camry on the card last year which gave us 8 free months and she thinks we have about 12 mo. of free service built up. It amounts to a rebate of 1% on your purchases. It's not as good as the 2% I get on my Private Issue Discover Card but it's better than anything else I know of. I think the APR is around 10% which is good also, although we pay off the card every month. So when AOL rolls out ADSL for $40 or so per month I'll be getting it for free. I wonder how many other AOL subscribers have the card and are getting free AOL? Those folks will never switch.
Regards,Lee
