Yes! That's exactly it! I must confess, I am not in touch with my inner baby. Or, if I am, it is a very cross baby, probably teething, hungry, wet, and needing a nap, all at the same time.

I did enjoy the boys so when they were babies. I love them just as much now, but that was a special time, except for my husband being jealous. My husband is affectionate by nature, and wants to snuggle, cling, loll, and engage in yucky kissy activities. He felt supplanted by the children, and was not happy about it. I found this very confusing, and it made me hostile. Things have improved lately, if I let him snuggle and cuddle, etc., it seems to make him happy. But he does want to close the door and make the children stay out, and keep me all to himself, even when we are just sitting around reading, drinking coffee and talking. So I don't feel in touch with my inner baby, just my inner mommy.
