IMO Deswell missed a huge business opportunity by not acquiring assets in SE Asia during its fire sale. Is it too late?

On that point I certainly agree, IF there were good businesses to catch, and IF this downturn turns out to be short. It is possible that Deswell did not find other suitable businesses that met its high standards, did not have enough money on hand and were unwilling to take on debt to buy the ones that did meet its criteria, or management correctly foresees a lengthy downturn that will either avail better opportunities down the road or require that cash.

Is it too late? I don't know that we can make that claim yet.
