Downsouth, I just find it hard to believe TA when I don't pick the index as my investment vehicle.
Actually, I am using my own "intuition" if I can call it that. The past run-ups in the stock could qualify as some sort of technical analysis. I find that if company blows out a quarter, there will be larger number of momentum investors in the next quarter. If MSFT had only beaten the EPS number by 3 cents, we would see a smaller run up for this April. Since they beat it by about 13 cent (i think), the run up is going to be huge. Like I said before, MSFT did not have a new product launch last quarter and was able to blow away numbers.
Notice that the stock has not yet gone way beyond the price at earnings release. This also leads me to believe we will hit 200 very quickly late March or early april.

BTW-I did not take comments as criticism of my techniques. I never look at a company's chart or market charts. I just find that it makes no sense to me. However, market mood is a great indicator. I feel that now we are close to the end of any selloff---and those crazy nasdaq moves. Maybe not----I have no idea what will happen in the next 2 to 3 weeks but I am certain about early March to mid April.
