Wow,

I think your assessment of other people on this thread is a little hard and unfair, but perhaps I'm missing something. I don't believe people here have their own "agenda"; since I don't see you post very much, should I assume you have your own "hidden" agenda? I don't think so ... :o)

Classic sawtooths are the stuff that "historical" data is made of, I have tried trading this issue nad it has been difficult to say the least. I've called some technical indicators "right on", and I've also missed some completely. MACD looked very good just Thursday night, and look what happended. So much for the trader's "dream", at least this go round.

We are somewhere near a bottom, you call it, then we can all see how it goes. A bottom price, date, and expected price action to follow would be great, and if the stock action is so dream-like, then we can all learn and profit while doing so. It's great to have professional input to work with being a small individual investor myself.

I'm being less than cordial because your insinuation strikes me as being very unfair, especially given that there is not much input from you on this thread to better understand your thoughts. I tend to believe with good certainty what I have read on this thread in the past. Perhaps you see it differently, which is the right of each and every investor.

Frankly, given the float on this stock, the number of institutions now in this stock, and many other factors, any person who might even consider having an "agenda" on this thread, has a fat chance in hell of seeing it fall into place based on his actions. I am humble enough to admit that my action in buying and selling THQI is about as relevent to the stock price movement as your actions.

Let's enjoy more constructive and educational input, and avoid the accusations. I've learned a lot here, some of it from you in your recent post. I think that is the stuff we can all benefit from, don't you agree?

Kind Regards, JB

Roy,

Please do let us know more. It's great if one can time the market and second guess what will happen to the company next. I know I wish I had that gift.

You will recall that on Thursday night I noted that I agreed with Jeff and that it looked like MACD was about to turn positive - a trader's delight. On Friday morning, despite everything that was going on in the NASDAQ, the stock was up slightly - like EIDSY (at a similar MACD point) and ERTS. When the THQ rally failed, however, traders sold the stock off and it sank below critical short-term resistance points. It tanked late in day and MACD turning negative again.

Was this a one day trading glitch? From my vantage point, it's not good that the rally failed. However, we are headed into very good earnings and, despite the hype you refer to, there are credible analysts who see earnings continuing to grow at 20 % or more for the foreseeable future. That makes the stock a bargain in relative and absolute terms. NO? Perhaps those analysts are all just trying to wish the numbers up there.

Finally, I note from an earlier post of yours, (9586) on Wednesday, Feb 3 1999 8:38AM ET, that you 'DON'T have any position in the stock and sold late last year .... and THOUGHT it was a good
candidate to short .... but changed your mind and wished all Longs the best, etc.

So Roy, is THQ a Buy or a Sell at these levels? And either way, what sort of targets do you see that perhaps we don't?

I look forward to your comments.

Brian

Roy, no need to comment on the seller at $23 5/16. The Haines' post, etc. was just a colossal in-joke recognizable to anyone who follows the THQ thread on AOL. It wasn't at all serious.

There may be begging and consoling here but I'm not so sure about hyping considering that bullish projections are usually based on simply reaching industry-average PEs, something that just about all of us think THQ deserves. Because we believe all the WCW revenue either has been or will be replaced and you can't argue with THQ's growth rate. Just look at that N64 lineup, for one. As for the attacking people with opposite views, there hasn't been an intellectually honest bear post yet, IMO.

The trading looks easy in hindsight, yet there have always been differences in the pattern that made it tough to read at the time. In just a year we've pretty much seen everything under the sun in terms of stock action.
