To Frank: Smile. As I read your last, I was reminded that communications technology has its own special language - reminds me of seaman's language which has special names or even economics where the word "investment" has a very narrow special meaning which is immediately clear to another economist but misleading to a non economist. Wish I knew what a mux is. :-) In any event, I do undersand your wire language and that is why I have invested for years in Cisco, Lucent and Nortel. But Lucent and Nortel also supply wireless equipment and the language there is difficult to follow for someone like myself where the equivalent of "ports" would be useful to know. The reason I clipped the Qualcomm approach for this board was to see if it is possible to translate what the Q is proposing for handling voice and data using the same infrastructure into layman's english. As always, thanks. Chaz
