I believe those options NG exercised were approved a while ago as the last options Vivus approved months ago were repriced at 2 15/16 with a 6 month holding period. If the options NG exercised had no holding period then the fact that he exercised them and held them is a bullish sign. If he had no holding period and had no faith in the companies future, I would expect him to turn around and sell them immediately to lock in his profits which would be more than double his exercise price. He bought and didn't sell. Next step is to find out if he could have turned around and sold the same day.
