Traders would want stocks that move up and down in rapid fashion. Tie in a range expansion measure or filter and you have stocks that move and move over a tradable range. You are just paring down the stocks to look at. Since you are looking at the average of volume, you are reflecting past volatility. Float turnover is reflective of trading intensity. Gann used float turnover with all of his other magic measures.

The entry and exits that you apply to this stable would be in keeping with your mindset. You might back test your system on these stocks to see how they compare.
