Lockeon: That was a GREAT article from Information Week. It clearly reveals how DELL is aggressively pushing ahead with its virtual integration strategy.

I love this quote:

<<Dell is also using the Internet to create a community around its supply chain. The Web sites all have links to bulletin boards where partners from around the world can exchange information about their experiences with Dell and its value chain. "The Internet is the core of everything we are doing," says Kevin Rollins, vice chairman of Dell. "It provides the capacity to improve the flow of information, eliminate paper-based functions, and link global organizations.">>

This kind of organization will continue to prove that they are the next DELL.!!!

Lockeon,
Hi!!!

Thanks for the link and you can be sure I made the normal two copies ....my Dad loves the info too...

With regards to the link....The Harvard Business Review Interview with Michael Dell is something I have frequently referred to on the thread...I joke about reading something that extensive that doesn't have photos or comic book features....I have read and re-read it so many times I lost track...I always find new visions of possibilities that Dell can use with this unique structure...We have constantly been pounded with "THE MODEL...THE MODEL....THE MODEL..." Every Dell employee has proclaimed that to us when we were in Austin...well, if you read the release that you just sent over the thread...there is no question "THE MODEL" has infinite ways to bring success to DELL....relationships that make life easy...cheaper and with a better quality product...like Andy Swerver said last May: "IS MICHAEL DELL UNSTOPPABLE?" Take three years of this thread ...read what I've read...study what I've read....and it is pure confidence in DELL....

Best, kemble
