They are detailed in my two cassette
talk, IS ASPARTAME (NUTRASWEET(R)) SAFE? A MEDICAL, PUBLIC HEALTH AND
LEGAL OVERVIEW - 1995, and SWEET'NER DEAREST: BITTERSWEET VIGNETTES
ABOUT ASPARTAME (NUTRASWEET (R))-published by the Sunshine Sentinel
Press (P. O. Box 17799, West Palm Beach, Florida 33416; 1 800 -814-9800;
Fax 561-832-2400; e-mail, sunpress@icanect.net).

God help us. Can you spell "crank"? Not only doesn't this guy publish in a reputable medical journal, he's gotta pay to get himself out there at all.

It's frequently been alleged, and I believe I posted links about it much earlier on this thread, that the NutraSweet people did all they could (which was a lot) to see to it that stevia wasn't approved as a sweetener by the FDA. That's as may be. But sorry: if over 50% of the population of the US regularly consumes these products, and if they're as dangerous as Dr Crank alleges, we'd be facing problems of Malthusian proportions.

I am constantly amazed by the inability of many contributors to this thread to distinguish between good and bad sources, and to evaluate professional credentials.

DSPetry, very good research. Don't forget the costly attempt that Monsanto made in Brazil, in which they failed. Keep up the interesting post's.
