Great post on MMs Gene. Thanks for taking the time to post it. It is confusing to picture a MM as just another trader with an inventory of stock from which he fills orders, but it seems that is what they are.

I wonder what would happen when a small float stock like WINR is in high demand and those holding the shares don't sell at any price. Where would the MMs get the shares to execute their obligation to make an orderly market. Would they then have to offer higher and higher bids to buy back shares until someone gives in and sells, or can they act like the government does and work with "imaginary: shares planning to correct things later.

I would like to see everyone sit tight during a runup and see what happens. Anyway, thanks for the insight. You are very generous.
