A smart elitist will understand that people need "things" to tie them into the system. People with no stake in the system will destroy it. An elitist needs a system to be elite- as far as I know there is no elite in an anarchic situation. Therefore only stupid elitists would disagree with you. I want people as invested as possible in the status quo- by that I mean our form of representative democracy, law and order- I do NOT mean there isn't some tweaking to be done to bring about fuller participation.
