<know the difference between a Slot 1 and a Slot 2 board.>
Why should anyone care about petty details
between these electrically identical interfaces,
especially if the system performance difference
is hardly noticeable? If you had no idea that
many systems come with SLot1->slot2 adapter,
it is your problem, technofart.

<Your prayers will be answered - they always are.>
You better be more concern about your
prayers. I guess you will stuck forever
with your shovel behind the back trash
canisters of AMD Sunnyvale whitehouse.

Paul, From the Gagteway info you provided you'll notice the average box gateway sold was$1,300. If sub 1000's represent 50% of the market and is the fastes growing segment. HOw would you migrate your ASP system, to gain more market penitration. Would you buy chips from a company like AMD who's chips dominate sub 1000 maket offer better margins with superor performance. Or buy chips from Intel the market lagger offering inferior offerings, and who reluctantly spuuorts your marketing efforts. As long as the AMD chips are available they will buy them. Logic infers response to comptitive preasures amongst the assures AMD selection.
