RE:"I have no doubt that Intel can give parts away and crush their
competition if they want to, and the US Government permits it."

Why not. The government sat idlely by while the Koreans dumped RAM chips on the US market and literally crushed Micron.

RE:"I don't think it will happen however in the light of the FTC
investigation."...

Depends who and how much Intel stock the powers that be, own.

Re: "If the playing field is level, AMD has a great year."

Is that how you measure if the playing field is level?

scAMDria - Re: "If the playing field is level, AMD has a great year."

That's kind of tough.

AMD will have to fire Cherry Sanders and hire Barrett or Grove - or BOTH !

Otherwise - FASTEN YOUR SEAT BELT - LOSSES AHEAD !

Jerry "We're Back In the Red" Sanders !

Scumbria,

Re: "I have no doubt that Intel can give parts away ..."

Scumbria ... Your AMD "colored blinkers" are causing you to say even
more "ridiculous" things (than usual). Intel is selling Celeron's well
above cost ... Please run through the cost numbers using $750.00 wafer
cost and 85% yield. TIA

Make It So,
Yousef
