For all you scientists out there and for all the students who have a hard
>time convincing these people regarding the truth of the Bible...here's
>something that shows God's awesome creation and shows that He is still in
>control.
>Did you know that the space program is busy proving that what has been
called
>"myth" in the Bible is true? Mr Harold Hill, President of the Curtis
Engine
>Company in Baltimore Maryland and a consultant in the space program,
relates
>the following development. I think one of the most amazing things that
God
>has for us today happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists
at
>Green Belt, Maryland.
>They were checking the position of the sun, moon, and planets out in space
>where they would be 100 years and 1000 years from now. We have to know
this so
>we won't send a satellite, up and have it bump into something later on its
>orbits. We have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the
satellite,
>and where the planets will be so the whole thing will not bog down. They
ran
>the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries and it came to a
>halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there
was
>something wrong either with the information fed into it or with the
results as

it
>out and they said "what's wrong?"
>Well they found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time. They
>scratched their heads and tore their hair. There was no answer.
>Finally, a Christian man on the team said, "You know, one time I was in
Sunday
>School and they talked about the sun standing still." While they didn't
>believe him, they didn't have an answer either, so they said,"Show us". He
>got a Bible and went back to the book of Joshua where they found a pretty

>There they found the Lord saying to Joshua, "Fear them not, I have
delivered
>them into thy hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee."
>Joshua was concerned because he was surrounded by the enemy and if darkness

>hasted not to go down about a whole day!" The astronauts and scientists
said,
>"There is the missing day!" They checked the computers going back into the
>time it was written and found it was close but not close enough.
> The elapsed time that was missing back in Joshua's day was 23 hours and 20

read
>these

>Isaiah who told him that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a
sign
>as proof. Isaiah said "Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degrees?"
> Hezekiah said "It is nothing for the sun to go ahead 10 degrees, but let
the

Kings

<Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, so are there spiritual laws that govern your relationship with God.>

Actually they are both one continuum like all spectrum... ie. visable and non-visable 'light' or 'sound'.

<Law 1: God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.>

"Love" is at the high end of the human spectral experience. OTOH, hate, guilt, etc are at the low end. They actually have a different vibrational frequency. To live at the highest frequencies as described by philosphers, psychologists, etc for centuries is closest to 'godliness'. The lower realms are often described as hell realms.

<Law 2: Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.>

As desribed by all the great mystics through history, including the Buddha and Lord Krishna... as well as Christ... and of course the book of Genesis.

<Law 3: Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.>

This has long been misinterpreted to mean that one has to 'pray to Jesus Christ' to attain the highest levels and end up in 'heaven'. Actually anyone following a spiritual path that leads to the higher levels {Unconditinal Love and above} can experience gods love, etc. Of course this includeds the path described by the Buddha and Krishna. Mystics of these traditions have described the exact same experience as the Christian mystics.

<He Is the Only Way to God: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father but through Me" (John 14:6)>

As above, this has been misinterpreted as meaning {by many} you must be Christian and pray to Jesus to realize god. As one can see... that's NOT what it says. It is the viewpoint of lower level ego's that misinterpreted many of Jesus statements.

<Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self>

Exactly.... GOD from self... even if you don't have a picture of Jesus over your mantle.... of course that wouldn't hurn either! Another quick note on the above... god is omnipresent in all these traditions, he's not "elsewhere" waiting till you die and judge you... you can turn to godliness anytime... this is why Buddhist psychology has become so popular... that tradition shows who 'self' is. How can one even know what sin is he doesn't know what 'self' is???

*** Please Read This ****

This lays out the Christian belief pretty clearly. If it does nothing for you right now, just remember it:

Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, so are there spiritual laws that govern your relationship with God.

Law 1: God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

God's Love: "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16,NIV)

God's Plan: [Christ speaking] "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly" [that it might be full and meaningful] (John 10:10)

Why is it that most people are not experiencing the abundant life?

Because .

Law 2: Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.

Man Is Sinful: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)

Man was created to have fellowship with God; but, because of his own stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way and fellowship with God was broken. The self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passive indifference, is an evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

Man Is Separated: "The wages of sin is death" [spiritual separation from God] (Romans 6:23)

The third law explains the only way to bridge this gulf.

Law 3: Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.

He Died In Our Place: "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)

He Rose from the Dead: " "Christ died for our sins. He was buried. He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred." (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

He Is the Only Way to God: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father but through Me" (John 14:6)

It is not enough just to know these three laws.

Law 4: We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

We Must Receive Christ: "As many as received him. To them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in his name" (John 1:12)

We Receive Christ Through Faith: "By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9)

When We Receive Christ, We Experience a New Birth: (Read John 3:1-8)

We Receive Christ Through Personal Invitation: [Christ speaking] " Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20)

Receiving Christ involves turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor it is enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, an act of the will.

The following explains how you can receive Christ:

You Can Receive Christ Right Now by Faith Through Prayer (Prayer is talking with God): God knows your heart and is not concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. The following is a suggested prayer:

Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

Does this prayer express the desire of your heart?

If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now, and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.
