Tom--I don't have the time to check it out, but as I remember it Cotsakos sale represented a not particularly large percentage of his EGRP holdings.

I'm not familiar with General Atlantic Partners Ltd., I just figured they're another institution. In fact, I'm not even familiar with the abbreviation "VC" other than it being used a lot in the sixties, and am sure you don't mean them!

VCs do exactly that all the time. I know some VCs, and they are interested in recycling their money into new private deals and booking profits for their partners (and their own 20-25% of profit management fees), so I am not surprised General Atlantic sold some stock.
