Hmm. I have that same file in my \Windows\System directory. You might want to make sure that it's there.

Apparently it's not affecting any applications that you're running, so that's a good sign. Unfortunately though, I'm not sure whether or not that's a native Windows file, or some other application that we both have.

First thing you should do, is make sure that it's still there. Click on Start, Find, Files or Folders. type in ws2_32.dll, and click Search.

If you don't find it, you might have to get a copy of that file from someone else running the same version of Windows that you have. Let me know what happens.
