like I said I disagree -- case by case things are different - valuations are different -- depends on the pre IPO runup as it compares to the intrinsic value of the parent and their other assets. One day (and a big down one at that for the mkt) does not a case make. I really dont know what you are refering to "environment of early mid jan etc not being valid" -- value is value (as MSFT spent their hard real cash in Feb on UPC). No sense arguing -- the mkt will tell us OVER TIME
