Too bad this fund didn't exist the last time we needed money:

St. Paul Venture Capital Forms $500 Million Venture Fund

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 1999--St. Paul Venture Capital, one of the nation's largest private equity investment firms, has formed a new $500 million venture fund capitalized by the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. This move will approximately double the company's investment pace over the next four years.

The fund is the fifth in a series of venture capital funds established since 1988 by St. Paul Venture Capital to invest capital provided by the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. In the last ten years, St. Paul Venture Capital has invested over $800 million in the venture capital asset class.

St. Paul Venture Capital will continue to focus its investment efforts on very early stage entrepreneurial companies in diversified industries, including: information technology, health care, consumer technology and consumer products/retailing. The geographic focus of the fund will be national; however, a secondary focus will be on Minnesota regional investments, which have been particularly successful historically. St. Paul Venture Capital is one of the three largest early stage, multi-industry venture capital firms in the United States.

"We are very fortunate to have St. Paul Fire and Marine as our only investing client," said Pat Hopf, Managing General Partner. "They are a strong financial partner who truly understands this asset class. We have generated superior investment returns for The St. Paul over the years as a result of excellent entrepreneurial management at companies such as Select Comfort, Advanced Fibre, Spine-Tech, Biopsys, Information Advantage and Sylvan Learning. The new fund will provide us investment capital for about the next four years which can be used to support the next batch of world changing companies in our portfolio.

"We expect to approximately double our investment pace in the next four years, as compared to the last four, across early stage industries," said Hopf. "Our later stage venture capital capacity, which now accounts for 15% of the portfolio, will also experience a significant increase in capacity. In addition, we have established a group of industry and/or geographically focused satellite funds in which we are the only investor. These act as an important extension of our direct investment efforts."

St. Paul Venture Capital is an early stage, multi-industry venture capital firm headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, with offices in the Boston and San Francisco regions.

The only way I wished to "deceive" was to post anonomously like most other posters on YAHOO. If I correctly posted my age and location I would not be able to post anonymously. Posting anonymously puts me on even footing with the clowns whom I am combatting. I am in absolutely no way "manipulating". I didn't sell or buy a share of stock before or after the C.C. Why would I manipulate it? I was merely trying to prepare the flock of sheep over there that there would not likely be an OEM announcement associated with earnings and I explained why.

The fact that you drew conclusions from the random location of that character is soley your own fault. I have been posting as Antirapper for many months (he was created to battle arapport) I knew nothing of ANCRs manufacturing agreement with penstar until the conference call. Merely an unfortunate coincidence.
