AMD Shareholders - AMD just made the Swiss very Happy ! UBS - the United Bank of Switzerland now owns 8% of AMD ! edgar-online.com The lucky Swiss seem to have bought AMD last December when Cherry's Baby (That's AMD to most of you !) was selling in the mid to high $20's ! Well, the SWISS just lost a bundle on that investment ! Maybe Cherry plans to sell out to foreign ownership on-the-cheap! I'll bet Cherry gets a nice chalet somewhere in Switzerland ! Paul, Swiss owned AMD. More likly a purchase as nominee for Delimar/ Crysler. Forward planning design engineers indicate the microprocessor figures to be a straticgic part for controling all system functions of the next generation automobile. Its already used in aircraft and locomotives auto's are next. I tryed to tell you Delimar/Chrysler was watching dresden with intrest. As member of the board of directors of the top german banks they had to give their blessing to AMD's Dresden deal.
