In my experience a sharp drop in profits for 2 quarters is followed by a dividend cut.

Your points are valid. But IMO most companies with earnings reductions cut dividends to preserve cash. I do not think Deswell is concerned on this front. Plus dividend cuts are percieved as a negative signal, so would not expect to see that given the circumstances.
