Agree with most you said.

However, we're getting slightly off-topic here. Let's compromise and say that (1) it's certainly not a good reflection on management when they need to hit the "bottomless desperation" trail, and (2) that it can create some opportunities.

I, personally, leave companies that are at that stage, if I've been unlucky enough to have been near them (ARIA, as you know). Some may I revisit.

You're correct, the crummy environment is why some companies found themselves hitting bottomless financing instead of secondaries. However, I can't think of a single company that didn't miss their milestones on the way down to that humiliation.

Let's hope that the "good science" companies can recover, but let's also stay on-topic and drop this portion of the thread?
