You're just beating a dead horse on this one. That would have been treason and so why is it that all of the House and Senate ignored such an explosive thing in the actual impeachment trial; earth to you buddy. Get real; they had nothing, and anything that happened had been approved not by BC, but by the CIA or the Joint Chiefs; there was much more behind all of that, but is all classified. Newt just tried to spin it and use accusation to taint which is all he ever did. There was not proof of anything behind the accusations. Bush had done the same thing and Clinton just was continuing a policy of the Bush administration on China. There is no way the Commerce Dept would have ever been able to release real damaging information. Other agencies like the CIA and the defense department are on top of these things. They would never allow a President to pull something like that. The President has to answer to very high level people that deal with all these issues. They certainly didn't know the exact details of this and if it was as the Republican's like to accuse; why would the defense department and Joint Chiefs just sit idle knowing the truth? They wouldn't; so things are not as they see and they saw what I saw; a political effort to mudsling and spin Clinton as a commie; the old Republcian fallback all the way back to before their McCarthy fiasco. When desparate; say the person is a commie helping the Communists. We are down to just China, North Korea, and Cuba at this point.
