I just responded, in so far as a response is possible, to this msg. of yours, in my msg to Delbert. It sure seemed a presumptuous one on your part, nihil, but hey, I've gotta work on taxes today, I won't engage. Sorry about that 'flaunting,' you felt, though, dude. Hope only you saw it that way. It is a problem, if you oppose the death penalty, that people think you are being moralistic. It doesn't help much if you marshal stats and logical arguments until the cows come home, and only so very glancingly touch on the moral issue, (my late friend's, "it's not about them, it's about us," which I really introduced as a tribute to a wonderful man, Henry Schwartzschild,) it does make some people hear you as submerging them in something. Though the appeal to fairness could also be seen as 'upstate' morality, I suppose. What is 'upstate' morality, btw? I was struck by the phrase, never having heard it before. Is it applicable to the upper part of any state, or only of the state I live in? I mean this, I am intrigued. Is my state known for having a particular species of 'morality' in its upper half or quadrant? This is a serious question. I have a feeling there is a cultural referent with which I am unfamiliar. Do you really not have PMing capability? How appalling. I should read the rest of the thread before submitting this, but can't. I'm sure Christine would agree that we shall overcome and continue to share our Feelings profligately, you mustn't worry. We're big girls. Also, your instruction to "please stop this" follows our having stopped it. You are so outrageous, you know. Just one woman's opinion.
