No, ** ITOY ** is smart, very smart! I have seen this before; it puts them in "fist position" for this new delivery system, and therby dissuades other companies from trying to copy the design. They think this is huge; a whole new concept for a new kind of toy whose time has come... an internet toy delivery system. Developed by very seasoned management.

PUT YOURSELF in a competitor's shoes. If you knew that ITOY had something really good here, would you try to copy them spending perhaps hundreds of thousands or millions in R&D over the next year or two, knowing that in 6 months or 2 years you may be forced to cease and desist?

***** Remember management is seasoned veterans....the President Lanette Orduna, made the talking toy famous.

I would be concerned if they DID not file a patent. The fact that they DID means to me that they think they have something unique that can lock out competitors.

PS- in my experience it does not take 2 years for granting patents. Sometimes it is much much less.
