Sir Elwood P. Dowd: Was it Robbie who pinched Malvolio Piccoli's nerve. And another thing, is "a surgeon on his thread" something like a "pogo on a stick"?

Tireless in the Pursuit of Truth,

Yours,

Sir Andrew Aguecheek

Elwood,
Nile in his report stated that Dell would hit it 0.31 number, albeit on softer Gross Revenues due to intensified competition and a slowing PC market. In fact, he states the only way they can accomplish this is by upping their gross margin due to better cost management. Given his shortfall in unit sales from the IDC report times the ASP which is determined at $2365 results in a $236,500,000 shortfall from consensus estimates. What is your take on the fact that he claims Dell will still hit 0.31 despite this massive shortfall in revenue. Further, how do you suppose Dell is capable of such a massive jump in Gross Margins, given their steady 22.5% over the last several quarters.
