It is a shame we have a communist like soldier from a semi communist country on this thread !!!!

15 years ago when DOS hit the market , at that time there is no internet, so Browser was not part of OS. While 5 years ago, when Win95 hit the market, there is a need for people to connect to the internet from PC, so Browser was part of OS. The world is changing, the technology is moving forward everyday, and as a result the consumers need on a software product is changing on a daily base. Yesterday's definition of OS did not fit today's need of consumers, as a result the definition of certain is changing. The government has not right to define the products for the industry, otherwise it is abuse the power of government.

When FORD first release the car, cars did not have the air conditions or radio pre
installed. Today, if you do not have radio and air conditions prestalled, people will not buy the cars from you. So, who said the definition of car are just engine , wheels, transmision , tires ...etc ? The definition is changing everyday, pretty soon, we will
have the GPS prestalled in every car.

If the company did not continue improve its products and add values to it, the price of the product will drop as a result of competition. By adding IE into OS without increasing its selling price, Microsoft was doing something to maintain the value of its OS product, as a result , the OS price will not drop, so the IE was not given away free. Without IE being integrated into OS, the price of Window may drop to $35
today. That is why companies like INTEL need to integrate more functionalities and
speed into its next generation CPUs, while the price will not be increased proportionally, that is what we call competition. People like Soldier may never know
what competition really means where everything is regulated by the government !!!!
