It is harder for a government to take back a tax than for a Dellhead to sell their beloved stock. There have been very few instances of state or federal govts. repealing a tax without making up for it with a new one.

In Indiana, they lowered our auto taxes with new revenues from gambling. We still pay taxes on autos though, and property taxes keep rising.

Don't even get me started on taxes- I'm doing my 1040 right now. What a F*ing pain in the arse. As many sales as I had last year, Schedule D is going to be a nightmare. And I'm not even sure if I'll owe MORE.
That will really depress me. -ng-

Did you know that after they passed the Constitutional Amendment allowing it, the Income tax started out at 1%, and you filled it out on a postcard. What a monster it has become.

TW

BTW- Sorry your local democrat didn't win- Maybe Hillary will run in NJ and they can have a catfight (Whitman vs. Clinton) I'd like to see Hillary get her arse whipped by a Whitman. -hohoho
