You are missing MY point. Or am I missing yours? While no competitor may have access to a patent pending file, by ANNOUNCING IT PUBLICLY this serves notice to the investment community that they have something really special here with this technology.

So, I agree with announcing it. Perhaps it also makes their bargaining power much stronger with the big toy distribution firms they are negotiating with as we speak.

It also makes potential investors more comfortable in believing that they did file a patent, since they annnounced it in black and white. Credibility is so important at this stage for a young company. And even though management is top notch, people still are not always very trusting, so the announcement increases the comfort zone.

I'm apparently as confused with your thinking as you are with mine. I know tons about negotiating and marketing and this is the right move for this stage in their development.

Plus I sure don't see the downside of announcing it...tell me..I'm all ears. I mean they filed first....that is sure something I as an investor want to know.

And also it was hardly a secret anymore, since they were at the big NYC toy show last week in high level negtotiations all week.
