I don't think I've seen this posted before...on a slow news day...

Killer clicks will shape the Internet economy. They will go unnoticed by most companies but will end up tipping the balance of power toward players that understand and harvest clicks early.

Examples abound. Yahoo! has prospered because all of us bookmarked it (a killer click) four years ago and never deleted it. When we are setting up Quicken, we choose CheckFree as our bill payment system -- that marginalizes our banks as low-value, low-fee paper shufflers. When you are setting up one-click buying on barnesandnoble.com, you specify your MasterCard as the payment method of choice -- Visa and AmEx are shut out of your book buying.
