Nevermind the hedging. Do you think everyone who wants to buy the books you like would also like to pay 25% extra just to go through amazon ?

Grocery stores, gas stations, hardware stores, etc ... seldom dominate their markets by charging the highest price. Why will amazon be different ?

And if they lower their price (much more than 2%) their losses get worse. Do you think they will just drive their competition out of business ?
