Credit card fax is true, unfortunately

I am a big fan of IFLY, both as an investment and as a travel agency, but after a number of "dry runs" when it
first came out, I booked a flight. The service was excellent and I got a fare at least $200 cheaper than Expedia,
but they required me to fax the front and back of my credit card, and a picture (they suggested my passport
but I sent a drivers license photo). If I did not have a home copy/fax machine, I would not have been able to
complete the transaction. I have purchased many items on the net in the past (amazon, CD's, other
mechandise) and have never run into this procedure before. The funny thing is that I copied the credit card first,
and it is illegible ( I am sure because the card is opaque), so I doubt that the fax did them any good. I see that
someone said they would call the company to inquire about the policy. I hope they do, as this could be a
serious business mistake if not corrected soon.

Again, I mention this in hopes of strengthening my considerable investment in IFLY, and I hold no brief for the
bashing or other nonsense which permeates this board.
