Spots Let's get straight here. Ok.. we're straight on the edit and the ide 2 option stuff. I'll edit in primary nt and if I blow it I'll boot to nt0 and edit from there. If I blow it from nto......then well...I don't deserve to have a proper boot setup <g> I understand that the ide 2 option will not be available in the boot.ini where all the Winnt0 s are changed to Winnt s. BTW what would the boot.ini with the ide 2 option look like? Just curious.... after ZP reminded me about drive dependence issues with this setup.. I don't think its my cup of tea anyway. Referencing the nto clone is niffty but I'd better back off and concentrate more on getting the standard single boot right first..... I know you'll agree with me about that<g> Clarence

Spots The boot.ini edit went well and I boot to primary NT as the default. The OS Loader doesn't wiz pass anymore since timeout is now 30 sec rather than the 0 sec it was before. I was surprised to see Microsoft windows listed as an option there and selected it just to see what happened. Got an I/O error. I suppose if I added a reference to Windows in boot.ini that option would become activated. Don't worry.. this is not my intention.. Iwas just curious about it being listed. You know your stuff, Spots...no doubt whatsoever about that:-) Thanks..again<g> Clarence
