Toronto--Feb 15--Canada's Inmet Mining Corp. today said it has decided to
permanently close the Winston Lake zinc mine in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The
company has completed its recalculation of the resource and evaluation of
alternative mining methods at the mine and concluded that the resource at
Winston Lake is not economic to mine without a substantial and sustained

Toronto--Feb 15--Canadian zinc-copper mining company Inmet Mining Corp.
today reported a fourth-quarter net loss of Cdn $41.0 million, or $1.14 per
share, narrowing from $194.5 million, or $1.90 per share, in the same
