Kash,

Maybe INTC is loosing the heart to continue slugging it out in the low end war. Maybe they realized that what we have been saying here all along is true. The Celeron is and will continue to Cannibalize PII and now PIII sales much to their detriment.

What I know is that yields on the Celeron (Mendocino) and Dixon are near all time highs in per cent good die/wafer.

As far as demand outstripping supply, I will have to defer to the news media and/or analysts to corroborate that.
