Good morning Bosco,

Maybe the mind prefers simplicity, but blanket statement like NRA is for 2nd Amendment and the govt is against 2nd Amendment is good only for slogan, not a open minded intellectual [not that I have any] discussion., but blanket statement like NRA is for 2nd Amendment and the govt is against 2nd Amendment is good only for slogan, not a open minded intellectual [not that I have any] discussion.

Whose mind are we talking about? Who said that? Maybe a mind who gets all his information on a subject from a light entertainment like 60 minutes.

As for people who break the law by building illegal automatic weapons, well, most laws come with punishments. Use them. Still happening? Increase the punishment. But that's probably too simplistic. Better to lock up all those who haven't broken the law.

BTW I don't belong to the NRA but I can recommend them as a good source of information about guns if you are interested in learning about them. At least they are a better source than Diane Sawyer, or Ed Bradley.
