You'll get the most mp3s off of newsgroups like
alt.binaries.sounds.mp3

This is something that most articles about MP3 don't
mention. They always talk about the WWW, but the music
business shuts down mp3 web sites as fast as they can
find them.

BUT, they can't shut down the newsgroup servers, or IRC,
or ICQ. So their goose is cooked.

I wonder what record company stocks would make a good short?
