Patricia, shame on you. Let me see. Because Susan Smith's stepdad was the chairman of the local Republican Party he molested her and this led directly to her strapping those two babies in that car and pushing them into a lake? Nope. Sorry. Susan Smith was a self serving, rapacious, little shit who saw her chance of marrying into money going out the window and did the one thing she could think of to salvage that relationship. Her stepfather's supposed molestation was a (successful) defense ploy to try to keep her out of the electric chair. His political views had nothing to do with killing those little boys. Tarring and feathering entire political parties, whether Conservative or Liberal for the criminal acts of individuals just doesn't hold any water. Unless, of course, that individual happens to be the President and is directly responsible for that party's actions.

Pat don't waste your time with these guys they think they have all the answers. I said in my 8 years in Florida I never saw a case of a liberal family in child abuse. The majority by far were your fine christian right wing spare the rod boys.The one idiot that referred to the Chuck E Cheese mass killing here in Colorado well he knows as much about this kids upbringing as I do that is Nada. But the kid was black so he says he must be a liberal and that makes our finger pointer also a racist. Most common sense says a kid brought up with an exceptionally strong rigid environ, like Ted Bundy, will snap and a kid brought up with nothing but corporal punishment instead of reason well that's a slam dunk. But no these clowns who probably have absoluetly no experience or education on the subject know it all. You might want to look up traditionally liberal child rearing like your Jewish families and compare their child abuse vis a vis conservative christians. Also examine the nutcase rate between the two. It will become quite evident as to what I am talking about
