The upgrade allows you to restrict the amount of files you put on HD. You can keep say 2 years there and access the cd for a look beyond that. It will be a bit slower depending on computer. Stocks and mutual funds full data take up 541 meg or so. Didn't see a choice of download but I bet it is there in some form.

All of us need to upgrade our HD, the technology will fill them fast. Good thing they are cheapest in years.

I can't answer your specific size questions. My advice is to take the cheap way out and get a huge drive for cheap. I got a 6.4 a couple years ago, now I wish I had gotten more.

Also, request the new upgrade from QP2 (not here, but on their site) and get rid of your diskbuffer. It's not a part of the new QP2. Things are much faster, slicker and better. You'll like it.
