Here's an interesting development and an interesting job title

The Tokyo market closed at 14,232.64, up 117.92 points, after the Ministry of Finance said it would resume buying government debt, encouraging a fall in the long-term interest rates that have risen in recent weeks.

Separately, the country's top financial diplomat, Eisuke Sakakibara, said it was natural for the yen to fall amid lower interest rates.
