Technology is the answer to the majority of China's difficulties.

I forwarded this data to Dan as an excellent compliment to the water filter business, as 80+% of the time you'll be speaking to the same potential client.

New technology for productive and sustainable reuse of wastewater for irrigated cropping (Project 96190)
In China, irrigation water supplies are increasingly diminished by diversion for urban and industrial use. Reuse of wastewater for irrigation could save scarce water supplies, and generate economic gains similar to those from effluent irrigation projects around the world. Preliminary research has shown that the FILTER (Filtration and Irrigated cropping for Land Treatment and Effluent Reuse) technique developed in Australia may be suited to the conditions in northern China, and this project will explore the potential of the FILTER and other new technologies to address wastewater treatment problems.

Commissioned organisation: CSIRO Division of Land and Water.
