Pinot noir's are great, I'll see if my local guy can find your merlots and give you an opinion.

Hi Mephisto! We have spoken of wines often in other places. Good to hear from you here. I have not tried the merlots you asked about, or at least not recently. I did try the Chateau Ste. Michelle merlot a few years ago and liked it. The winery is known as a good value producer of other wines. I just saw their sauvignon blanc mentioned as desirable recently. We are having an Italian tasting here on Thursday. Should be interesting, and I will post the favorites. By the way, how is the other Mephisto?
