"Thinking does harm to one's self-esteem." Of Course it does, thinking is basically an unnatural act for the right wing fringe. Except for one of my heroes, Barry Goldwater, right wingers shoot form the lip without turning on the brain.

What has Rush been up to, to get y'all so riled up.
If you think you may be over the edge, take a gander at the posts of this obsessed, bitter IR:

BTW as an aside, I would think the "Reagan on Rushmore" idea comical were it not for the success of the name changes inflicted on local facilities. Maybe as compromise, we just blank the face of Teddy Roosevelt? -g-

"Thinking does harm to one's self-esteem".

Oh that's right, I almost forgot about the politically correct regime we now live under! Silly me, living in the good old days of freedom of thought and action. Yogi

OK, what does the Republican party have going for it now? They cave in to Clinton's superability to deceive and to turn the tables on Repubs. They don't have an issue that they will stay with, hell or high water. They are useless. I say vote them all out and get a new, more agressive, more politically astute, bunch. A bunch that has a message that everyone keeps repeating, a bunch that has principles instead of big fingers to the wind, a bunch that stands for conservative principles and puts their job on the line to defend, a bunch that does not cave in when the going gets tough.

How is it that the Repubs, made up of over 217 (to be majority) lawmakers let Clinton convince the country that it was their fault when the govment almost shut down a few years ago? Why do these inept, weak, gutless gophers allow one man to set the agenda all the time? Why do they allow most of any compromise go to the liberals?

We need true leadership, the kind Reagan exhibited when he told the air traffic controllers where to go and when he grabbed the microphone at a debate and said, hey, I PAID for this, and I'm going to talk!! We have no one like that with cajones and who is likeable. Newt is close to having what it took but he was so darn unlikeable and disagreeable that that rendered him ineffective.

The Repubs desparately need real leadership, not the kinder and gentler, give in to the liberalspeak kind. Heck, they will never be able to distinguish themselves from the kind, compassionate, full-of-heart (LOL) Dems if they try to act like them just so they can get elected. No way will I support a Repub that tries to act and talk like a Dem just so he can get elected.

I still am going to vote straight Dem because no one has convinced me that this current crop is worth my vote.
