I like the slide-action shotgun noise, which says "fuck off" in a way that few will dispute. Most bolt rifle rounds have a little too much range and penetration to be safe for those in neighboring houses or rooms. And most home-defense situations arise at night, when the shotgun has a big advantage. I like bolt action rifles better than any other kind of gun, but not for a duel in my living room. Haven't had one yet, but like they say, it's better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.
