El,

For your info, this guy was probably talking about ASR-2. Automatic Server Recovery. Standard on all the CPQ servers...

Brief explanation?
Lets use an example, the server has lots of RAM, but one of the RAM chips on a DIMM fails, this will naturally cause the Operating System to stop. Instead of sitting there stupidly waiting for the IT Manager or System Operator to come along and reboot the machine, ASR detects that the OS has stopped, (it is OS independent), reboots the machine, maps the failed module out and restarts the OS. So, the server will come up albeit with less available RAM, but it WILL be up...

Less downtime, more productivity, better value for money. It's called Total Cost of Ownership.

A real differentiator...
